Steve
Simon has been passionate about documenting life through photography since he began taking photographs at age 12
in his home city of Montreal. He has participated as a guest lecturer and workshop leader at various photography
and arts events in Canada, The United States, and Argentina, including a nine city tour of University Photo Programs
in the United States with Apple Computer. He has had solo shows in New York at The Leica Gallery, Buenos Aires, Toronto
and Montreal and his work has been featured three times at the Visa Pour L’Image Photography Festival in Perpignan,
France. His work is in the permanent collections of The George Eastman House, Houston Museum of Fine Arts and The
Canadian Archives and the Comune Di Verona.

Digital, because it's there.

Having my photos tossed in the trash and ending up in Life Magazine book.

I find every place exotic
What was your biggest photo mistake?
Showing up at an assignment without my equipment (it was supposed to be in the trunk-this is between us right?)

Photographing Grandmothers in Africa

1. Get closer

Don't give up on the magic when it's in front of you

If you could change your profession what would it be?
People would not be struggling to make a living doing the good work that they do.

Persistence is the key. Never give up.
